Strategic grant writing supports Toowoomba's housing future

We extend our congratulations to Toowoomba Regional Council on successfully securing $145 million under the Residential Activation Fund (RAF), one of the largest competitively awarded capital infrastructure grants secured by an Australian local government.
The Toowoomba region is set to take a major step towards its next era of growth following the RAF funding announcement to accelerate delivery of the Southern Water Treatment Plant at Westbrook.
Mayor McDonald said the project aligned strongly with council’s vision of ensuring the region remained ready to seize future opportunities.
“At a time when housing supply is a major challenge across Queensland, this investment demonstrates that the Toowoomba region is ready to be part of the solution,” he said.
The Peak Services Grant Office is proud to have collaborated with council on this grant submission that will see long-term sustainable community benefit with water infrastructure for future housing construction.

Council will now work closely with the Queensland Government to progress detailed planning and delivery of the project.
