Bahar is an applied researcher and advisor who works where data meets decisions, and where the work needs to be proven, not assumed. She helps councils and partners move from complex evidence to clear options, recommendations, and decision-ready reporting.
A signature stream of her advisory work is natural capital and ecosystem valuation. She has led rigorous, EO and LiDAR-informed analysis with Fugro and partners in the Torres Strait (Horn Island and Thursday Island), building defensible valuation logic, cost–benefit inputs, and investment-ready reporting for blue finance and public decision-making. She works at research depth, then translates it into plain language without flattening the substance.
Bahar also supports operational reviews, program design, and improvement planning across council services and tourism assets, bringing structured diagnosis and clear, outcome-focused engagement. Her PhD in management trained her in mixed-methods research and complex data analysis, and her advisory work makes that rigour usable in real delivery environments.
Collaborated with a multidisciplinary research team to develop a strategic report for industry partners. The report informed industry strategies for aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Designed and led a mixed-methods study examining the role of psychological factors in Australian travellers’ transformation toward sustainability.
