Employee relations legislation is continually evolving to meet the demands and obligations of a modern workplace. Employers need to be at the forefront of this ever-evolving landscape to ensure understanding and compliance across all aspects of employment, including certified agreements and contracts of employment, to avoid under or overpayment of staff, disputation, or breaches of contract. Due to turn over of staff (and recruitment of new staff) and to keep abreast of changing requirements, Peak is regularly asked about training for Payroll, Human Resources, and Employment Relations staff to provide upskilling on the local government employment relations framework, specifically interpretation of often difficult conditions and entitlements. In response, we've developed this workshop specifically to address your questions while also upskilling staff.
This workshop can be adapted in consideration of council-specific certified agreements. If you are a regional/small council, Peak can facilitate the option of you joining with other neighbouring councils, to best ensure cost-effectiveness.
