Cameron is a Quandamooka man from Moreton Bay off the coast of Brisbane in South East Queensland. He is a law graduate from the University of Queensland and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Leisure Management from Griffith University. Cameron has worked previously in the legal industry and has over 15 years’ experience in local and state governments delivering First Nation policies and programs including the Backing Indigenous Arts Program and the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair for the Queensland Government, and the Black Diamonds Program for Brisbane City Council. Cameron is passionate about inspiring others, using his entrepreneurial skills to enrich the lives of the next generation; empowering them to become advocates and carers of Country, keeping culture strong and working together towards a bright tomorrow. Cameron sits on key Boards and committees including Deputy Chair of the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC), Healthy Land and Water, QMUSIC and the Arts Queensland First Nations Arts and Culture Panel.
