Lana is a former Councillor of Sarina in Queensland and has extensive experience in managing the delivery of a wide range of public facilities and building projects. Lana is a qualified building designer with over 20 years’ experience in design management, property development, project management and facilities management, providing a strong understanding of both land use planning and building regulation.
Working as part of a team, Lana was instrumental in delivering advisory projects including Sunshine Coast Regional Council’s 50-year Regional Waste Disposal Strategy, and the Feasibility Study and Master Plan for the regional waste facility (Sustainability Park) in the same region.
Lana offers expertise in strategic procurement, with the ability to blend both technical and contractual knowledge with a strategic approach to ensure each approach to market solicits the optimum bids from the market.
Mornington Shire Council - Delivered preparatory project definition and concept report services to define the complete project scope and to establish a realistic budget and schedule for the Project (Admin Centre).
Gladstone Regional Council - Waste Levy Specialist delivering a Waste Levy Readiness Review to assist Council with the introduction of the state government levy, which included site visits and on-site training.
Sunshine Coast Regional Council – Master planning and feasibility study including bulk haul transfer station, AWT (composer) and Waste to Energy facility.
Sunshine Coast Regional Council – Construction management and project management for a wide range of infrastructure projects including primary sort, weighbridge, tip shop, mattress factory, noise barriers, landfill roads and infrastructure, CCTV and bulk haul stockpile.
Sunshine Coast Regional Council – Landfill demand model and 50-year landfill demand model and strategy.
Sunshine Coast Regional Council – Undertook a 25-year waste generation forecast and strategy analysis.
Winton Shire Council - Waltzing Matilda Museum Reconstruction. Prepared RFQ and RFT documents and assisted Council to procure museum and interpretive design and delivery consultant services. Prepared documents necessary for Council’s Planning Consultant to prepare approvals for the project. Ensured all necessary design certifications and approvals were obtained and in place prior to commencement. Delivery of the $24M highly architectural project with an integrated world class museum experience.
