Who should Attend?

The Understanding Local Government course is designed to assist new employees understand the machinery of local government. It is also suited to those who wish to refresh their understanding of local government.

The Understanding Local Government course will allow new employees to gain a greater understanding of local government and their employer. The knowledge gained will give participants direction, better understanding and focus to assist them in the roles they are appointed to.

Short Course Topics
For newcomers to local government, understanding the inner workings and purpose of local government can be overwhelming at first.
This course will explain how local government provides an extensive and diverse array of services and assets to local community including planning and building, health services, recreation and leisure activities and local infrastructure.
